oh my god it’s always sooooooo refreshing to teach the mitsuke bunko kids it almost makes me wanna cry because i remember last year i was so freakin nervous and scripted out as much of the japanese i needed to use as possible but today i went in with my laptop and the clothes on my back and was still able to feel like i knew what i was doing up there. and when kids would ask me questions about translating their hobbies etc i was able to understand and help them out… like i felt so competent HAHAHA... like if i was able to feel this way with the other 10 classes i teach in a week i’d feel way more fulfilled at this job lmao..

well i only have a week left of classes for the semester and i’m having everyone make christmas cards so that itll be fun and i can be brain off before i go home. and i did all the instruction prep already so i decided to go to on an excursion to the farmers market

i was on the hunt for garlic… and there was none. Ngl ive gone here like 3 times despite it being so close to my place and i’m disappointed every time. why dont you have garlic???? well they did have a guy selling rolled omelettes out front so maybe i’ll make one more trip to try it out..

excursion was extended to the much more reliable MAX VALUE! i picked up some garlic and other things while i was there… i pondered about the 4000 yen crate of oranges but i am not that desperate yet. the frozen fruits from gyomu super and occasional bunch of bananas i get at my local pharmacy have sufficed so far. and also im not complaining about this but every time i see the english muffins they’re discounted. Japan does not know ball they only know big fluffy milk bread

my haul!!!!! I have been on the hunt for chocolate coolish ever since saff got a keychain gacha of the flavour during their trip many weeks ago and have come up short on luck until the reliable MAX VALUE decided to put it in stock! i’m not really a chocolate ice cream kind of guy but i will report later when i’m in the mood😞

after my excursion i made it back to work so i could spin in my chair and bother hirano-sensei until my shift finished up at 4. pictured below is an apple slice that ishikawa-sensei handed me. then i did arm day part 2 and a quick fartlek run that stopped me kind of a ways a way from home so i shivered and sweated for a good couple hundred metres… but yay weekend!!!! i have some plans tomorrow and a slightly long run on sunday : )
